Blogging is a relatively new online money making idea.
I am going to show you how to set up and make money from your very own blog.
"One of the most frustrating things about being in the UK is that we are a good few years behind the U.S with regards to how to really make money via the internet. It seems that by the time we British here in good old Blighty hear about a good money maker our good friends from over the pond have already got in and taken all of the profits.

Well not in this ball game. We are way, way ahead of them with this one. The Americans have only just cottoned on to the huge potential this simple part time business has.

What is a blog you might ask yourself, well a blog is an online diary. However used the right way, this simple online diary could make you an easy £100+ a week for just fifteen or so minutes "work" a day.

Build virtual real estate and profit for years to come. The reason why I love this blogging so much is because you can crank out these sort of blogs in a couple of days. Yet they make you money on autopilot 24/7 . And the more blogs you create, the more money you're going to make. So shall we get cracking?
We'll begin this system by identifying your own passions and hobbies. I know that the hardest part of making money online is actually getting off your backside and getting started. And if your business is based around a subject you love, then you're much more likely to set up your virtual real estate rather than just putting it off for another day.

I want you to write down as many of your hobbies and passions as possible. Ask yourself what would you love your blog to be centred around? We're not talking about "Internet marketing" blogs here I want you to think niche.
Do you own any specialist books? What web sites do you visit when surfing the web for fun? Do you have any specialist education like digital photography, property development, ceramics or flower arranging for example? What specialist TV shows do you like? What would you want to learn more about?

I would like you to make a comprehensive list of as many little niches that you're passionate about as possible. For example: fishing, golf, weddings. You may have an interest in these subjects. So add these to your list until you've got a list of around ten to fifteen niches that you might be able to exploit.
Making sure your niche will be profitable.
There's no point creating a blog if no one will have any interest. So you must go to www.inventory.overture.com this is a great tool so type your niche into the search term tool.
So lets say that you type in “fishing” your results will be a comprehensive list of all of the terms that include the word "fishing" people searched for in the 'overture search engine in the past month.
Go through the list and jot down as many sub- niches as possible. Ice fishing, bass fishing, cat fishing and so on. Make sure that the number to the left of the sub-niche is over 20,000. Pick one of the sub niches that excite and interests you the most.
Now it's time to make sure .that there are lots of affiliate products in that niche for you to promote and make commission from. The best place to start is CLICK BANK
click on "promote products" on the left hand side of the page. Then search For products in your niche and then sign up as an affiliate.

You can also go to http://www.google.com/ and type in your niche keywords. Then search for web sites that are selling products and have an affiliate programme. Once again sign up as an affiliate. You'll be given an affiliate code, as you will have done at clickbank.com. Make sure you save this in a word document or somewhere on your PC.

Setting up your blog.
So we've found a niche, and now we have products that we can promote and earn & commission from, We now need to set up a blog.
Don't worry it's free and so simple a child could do it.
What you are going to do is set up a blog, shoot yourselves the top of the search engines over a few weeks and then enjoy your affiliate commissions.

I shall not go into why blogs are picked up so well by the search engines. But it all stems from them being constantly updated (which search engines love) getting lots of back links from other web sites.
Go to http://www.blogger.com/ and sign up for a free account. In order to take advantage of our search engine ranking your blog needs to be set up in a certain way.
Let's say your niche was about The Red Devils Freefall Team. You need to include your niche keyword in your blog title. For example “The Red Devils Freefall Team". And also in your blog address.

Go to settings and then "basics" in your control panel and type in your title. Then you need to write a short description about your blog. You want use niche keyword around 3-4 times in your description.
It is now time to add some content. Some of you will love writing, some will hate it. It is truly up to you and your budget and how you go about the next step;

First of all let us go about things as if you were creating the content yourself. You need to write about ten keyword rich articles on your subject. By keyword rich I mean that you should include your keyword at least once in each paragraph. Do not over do it.

Make sure that your article is easy to read and packed full of tips and tricks.
Each article needs to be around 750 words in length and must be of interest not just stuffing.

If you would prefer to have someone else create articles for you go to http://www.elance.com/ this is an absolute diamond of a site, Here you can post a project saying "I want ten keyword rich articles written on (niche)" and writers will bid on your project in a kind of "reverse eBay" sort of way. These writers will write your articles matter of days, It really is great value. This will be your only cost so it should be well be worth the money.

Now all you need to do is post your articles to your blog. This is all really easy stuff. The next step is very important. Pinging your blog. In order for the search engines to know that you have updated your blog, you must then carry out an action called "pinging". You do this by going to http://www.pingomatic.com/ and filling out the simple form.
This is a very important step to the whole system. If you do not ping your blog you'll never get picked up by the search engines and the whole thing will go down the Khazi so to speak. So please, please make sure that you ping your blog each and every time you add content to it. There are a couple of books which I recommend that you need read to help you further in setting up your blogs by adding banners and affiliate codes don't worry they are really easy to follow. Next you need to add a product review for each and every one of your affiliate products. Be honest. Do not say that it's the best product in the world because people won't believe you. Another book which I recommend you read is The Super Affilaite Handbook by Rosiland Gardner. A very important educational book about affiliate marketing, it does not tell you that you can make $20,000 per month instanly, and it keeps you grounded.

Add your product reviews for each of your affiliate programs and at the bottom of your review add your affiliate link. This means that if people read your review, click on the link and buy you've made money. Whoopee Doo!!!

Make sure that you submit your blog to the search engines in your user control panel at blogger. (Very important)

Easy peasy lemon squeezey so far?

Adding adsense revenue. Google adsense is an advertising program run by the search engine giant Google. It places small classified adverts on your web site relevant to your sites content and whenever someone clicks on one of the ads you make a small commission. Do not be tempted to click on the adds on your own site nor join programmes where people click on your adds for you, Google will suss you out and and close down your account you have been warned.

Go to http://www.google.com/ and sign up for your free adsense account by clicking on "advertising programs" at the bottom left of the page. Then go to your blog and click on adsense under the header "template". Fill in the form and that's it. You've now put Google adsense adverts on your blog. However now you can open a Google adsense account directly from your blog. A very useful programme which shows you step by step with videos is Michael Cheney's Adsense Videos Click Here! Next up go to "help" at the top right hand side of the page and then go to "how do I edit my link list" down the left hand side. Read the tutorial, and then add your affiliate links to your link list. That's another stream of income for you.

Also write a post which says "recommended sites" and post your affiliate links there too. For each affiliate product write a short paragraph describing the site.

Getting links back to your blog. This is another way to shoot up the search engines. There are two ways of doing this. One is a fairly time consuming method and the other way which won't make you any friends, but will make you money.
Quite simply go to google.com and type in the name of your niche with the word "blog" after it. So for example, "Sea fishing blog". Then go to each blog and post a comment that says something like "Great blog. I really enjoyed your comment on (Make a reference to a previous post). Why not visit my blog at (whatever your blog site address is)".

Also ask the owner if you can post their comment on your blog in exchange for you putting a link to their blog on yours. (Remembering to ping your blog whenever you add links).

Personally I use Comment Hut, you type in your niche and then it collects all the sites which you can leave comments on, you can just leave a comment to post on all of them however I prefer to actually visit the sites and then leave a relevant comment. This is how you are going to shoot to the top of the search engines. When you have loads of links back to your blog you are going to be right at the top of the tree within a couple of weeks.

This means that you should get a lot of organic traffic, resulting in of sales of your affiliate products and a fairly good adsense income.

Submitting your articles to generate more traffic. Remember the articles you added to your ~ blog? Well now it's time to submit them all to article" directories on the internet so that site owners and ezine publishers can then put them in front of tens of thousands of people in your niche. Add a link back to your site at the bottom of your article. Say something like "For free information on (niche) go to (blog, site address)

Type in "article directory" in Google and then simply add your articles to as many directories as possible. The more you add them to, the more money you should make. It's that simple.

You can also write a short press release about your blog. Make sure that the press release doesn't sound like an advert. Include great information for the reader to use, and at the end have a link back to your site

You can use a service like www.prweb.com in order to have them submit your press release to relevant
Publications for a small charge. (Highly recommended).

Add some content (even if its one short post) on, a daily basis and ping your blog. It will only take around fifteen minutes "work" a day. Inject your personality into your posts. Have fun! Talk about your daily experiences but make sure you try to include your niche keyword' often.

How much could I REALLY make?
Good question. And my honest answer is I'm not entirely sure. This system is that damned new?
Shall we take a quick guesstimate?

Let us say for example your blog is on fly fishing and 10,000 people a month searched for "fly Fishing" in overture search engine. Say that you are near, if not at, the top of the search engines after using this system. If you made six sales of your affiliate products a week you'd make £100 (at $15 commission per sale).

Do you think that more than six people would buy? For sure they would

I'm saying £100 a week is because I really do not like it when the "guru's" say "you'll be making £15,000 a week immediately ". Because then if you don't make that kind of money instantly you get disheartened and give up.

Just give it a go. Try it and have fun. Then when you see how much you can make, add another blog and create a blog network and really start to see the difference that this no cost hobby can make to your lifestyle.
